Great lunchbox ideas, too.
It seems that these days’ families are on the go more than ever. Both parents working, kids in sports, academic events and lots of other extracurricular activities really pull parents in all kinds of directions. And, we all get hungry!
Do you want to provide your kids with healthy snack options? Of course, we know you do! We understand the challenges too. Our line of snack foods, including healthy granola bars and cookies, were created because of our founder’s interaction with his own son in the frozen food aisle.
When Ernie looked at the list of ingredients, he was appalled. And, having worked for huge food companies in the past, he knew that he had once been a part of the problem.Click here for the full post
JUNKLESS packaging coming soon to a store near you.
When we started our line of healthy granola bars and cookies years ago it was because we wanted to create better products. Made with simple, real ingredients, that were cleaner, and much less unprocessed, not to mention easy to understand.
Our granola bars and cookies are available at area Meijer stores, Spartan Stores and even Kroger. We’ve sampled them at Women’s Expos, Races, and many different evens throughout Michigan.
What we’ve found is that the general public seemed to “get” the Simple Eight brand and what we stood for. However, we heard them tell us it also seemed very corporate and like a bigger processed food company, which we are not!Click here for the full post

Simply Eight® LLC announced today all four of their products – two chewy granola bars and two cookies - have now received the Non-GMO Project Verified seal.
Kalamazoo, Michigan March 26, 2014 -- Simply Eight®, a Michigan-based company dedicated to simple foods, is pleased to announce that they have received the official Non-GMO Project Verified seal on their remaining three food products - Real Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Real Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars and Real Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars. Simply Eight LLC received its first Non-GMO Project verification back on January 31, 2014 for their Real Chocolate Chip Cookies.
"We are absolutely thrilled that all four of our products have now met the rigorous standards required to become Non-GMO Project Verified," said Ernie Pang, Simply Eight® LLC's Founder and CEO. "We share the growing concerns surrounding GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) and the unknown health implications of introducing those ingredients into our food supply. As such, by keeping ingredients simple, recognizable and uncompromised, we believe this ‘back to basics’ approach can help shoppers easily find more wholesome, less processed foods. The Non-GMO Project Verified seal is another major leap forward for us in transparency around quality standards and assures our shoppers of our voluntary commitment to GMO avoidance.” says Pang.Click here for the full post
